We stayed at this lovely cottage for a weekend getaway and had a fantastic time. The cottage was immaculately clean and furnished to a high standard. The owners were friendly and provided helpful tips for exploring the area. The location was great for day trips to Bakewell and Manchester, as well as exploring the Peak District. The open plan kitchen was well-appointed and the outdoor patio area was a nice touch. We also appreciated the welcome hamper with Prosecco and delicious cake.
We highly recommend this hotel.

I had an fantastic stay at James Cottage. I felt welcomed and at home. The cottage itself was beautifully decorated and had a perfect blend of style and comfort. The attention to detail was perfect, from the comfortable beds to the luxurious bathroom amenities. The hosts had thought of everything, from a welcome hamper filled with delicious treats to all the necessary household essentials. The surrounding village was picturesque and offered a great base for exploring the fine Peak District. I especially enjoyed the nearby pub, just a few steps away and served delicious food in a friendly atmosphere. Despite the lack of a supermarket in the village, Tesco delivered everything I needed without any issues. The only minor drawbacks were the lack of country views from inside the cottage and the need to drive a few miles to the nearest supermarket. these were easily overshadowed by the overall quality and comfort of my stay. I highly recommend James Cottage for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway. I can't wait to return and experience it all over again.

My stay at this cottage was absolutely amazing! The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the location couldn't have been better. The facilities were top-notch, with a garage for bikes and a pub just across the road. The cottage itself was stunning, with a fantastic shower and thoughtful touches throughout. We were even greeted with cake and Prosecco on arrival! The garden was beautiful and the summerhouse was a lovely bonus. I can't wait to go back!

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome and a thoughtful hamper filled with goodies like bubbly and carrot cake. The cottage itself was beautifully decorated, furnished to perfection, and impeccably clean. We was like we were staying in a luxurious 5-star hotel. The village of Chelmorton was idyllic and provided the perfect setting for leisurely walks along its picturesque footpaths. We were also pleased to find that the cottage was well-situated for day trips to nearby attractions. The local pub came highly recommended, but unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to try it. Perhaps on our next visit!
